372-373 : Jesus In Galilee

372-373 : Jesus In Galilee

NOW Herod, had John cast into prison, and when Jesus heard this, he departed into Galilee.
And leaving Nazareth, he came and dwelt in Capernaum which is on the sea coast.
At this time Jesus began to preach, and to say
"Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand."
He was about thirty years of age when he began his ministry.
And as he was walking by the sea of Galilee,
he saw Simon and Andrew his brother casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen.
And he went on to one of the boats, which was Simon's and asked him to push out a little from the shore.
Then he sat down and taught the people from the boat.
When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon,
"Launch out into the deep water and let down your nets for a catch."
And Simon answering said to Him, "Master, we have laboured all night and have taken nothing.
Nevertheless, at your word I will let down the nets."
When they had done this, they enclosed a great multitude of fish, and their nets broke.
Then they called their partners, who were in another boat, that they should come and help them.
And they came, and filled both the boats so full that they began to sink.
When Simon saw this, he fell down at Jesus' knees,.saying,
"Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord."
For he was astonished, and so were all that were with him, at the catch of fish which they had taken.
Then Jesus said to them, "Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men."
And immediately they forsook their nets, and followed him.
When he had gone a little further, he saw James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother,
who were in their boat mending tbeir nets.
He called them, and they left their father Zebedee and John his brother,
who were in there boat mending their nets.
He called them, and they left their father Zebedee in their boat with the hired servant and followed Him.
