514 : Paul Writes While In Semi-Confinment in Rome
OF THE ARMOUR OF FAITH
"Be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
Put on the whole armour of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against
powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world,
against spiritual wickedness in high places.
"Stand therefore having your loins wrapped around with truth,
and having on the breastplate of righteousness.
Have your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace.
Above all, take the shield of faith,
with which you shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God."
THINK ABOUT THESE THINGS
"Brethren, whatever things are.true, whatever things are honest,
whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely,
whatever things are of good report, and if there be any virtue and if there be any praise,
think about these things.
Those things which you have both learned and received and heard and seen in me, do;
and the God of peace shall be with you."
SEEK THOSE THINGS WHICH ARE ABOVE
"If you have been raised with Christ, seek those things which are above,
where Christ sits on the right hand of God.
Set your affection on things above, not on things on earth.'
